Sterling Spaces at The Holt House
The Holt House, built in 1834 and claiming the title of the oldest home in Davidson County, has been brought back to life as an event venue by owners, and sisters, Nia Ward and Jera Hawn.
The Holt House offers indoor space for entertaining guest counts up to 49, and over an acre of outdoor greenspace that can accommodate up to 150 guests. Inside the house is an elegant backdrop for an intimate wedding or dinner, flooded with natural light during the day or the glow of two antique chandeliers in the evening.
This space boasts two formal rooms that can be used together or separated by gorgeous 8-panel pocket doors, as well as original hardwood floors, a fireplace and 12-foot ceilings. Other available rooms include a sunroom, bridal suite, groom’s suite, two bedrooms, three restrooms, a kitchen, butler’s pantry and two flexible rooms perfect for cocktail hour, a seating lounge and more.
Take advantage of the beautiful outdoor setting with options to host your event in the front, side or backyard. The privacy and canopy of Oak trees adorned with string lights make the back patio a popular spot for any event, while the front yard gives your guest the perfect view of the Greek Revival style architecture of the Holt House.

FOOD/CATERING SERVICE
The Holt House + Sterling Spaces offer both all-inclusive packages with our in-house catering partners or an a la carte option where you may choose from a cater from our Approved Caterers List.
BEVERAGE SERVICE
The Holt House + Sterling Spaces offers full bar service for your event and all liquor must be ordered and served through The Holt House + Sterling Spaces. If you prefer to bring in your own beer and wine, you may do so by choosing the Corkage Bar, but all alcohol must be served by the Sterling Spaces bar services team. On-site security, contracted by Sterling Spaces, is required with all bar services, unless otherwise agreed upon.
LOCATION
The Holt House is nestled between gorgeous Magnolia and Oaks trees right off of Main Street in quaint uptown Lexington, NC. Located in the piedmont triad, the venue is less than 30 minutes from Winston-Salem and High Point, and only 1 hour from Greensboro and Charlotte. Raleigh/Durham is about 1.5 hours away.
The Holt House is located in the heart of uptown Lexington and within walking distance to the Candy Factory, The Goose and the Monkey Brewhouse, Bullcity Ciderworks, Sophies Cork and Ale and several other restaurants, antique stores and specialty shops. Lexington is most well known for it’s own “Lexington Style Barbecue” and boasts 8 barbecue restaurants. Childress Vineyards and 4 other local wineries are located just a few miles from the Holt House.
PARKING
There is no charge for street parking in Uptown Lexington. Our neighboring churches and businesses are also kind enough to allow use of their lots pending availability. A parking attendant and signage will be provided for each event.
